Understanding LCAs – What Life cycle Analysis reveals about bio-based materials
Throughout the entire life cycle, the process and operation of building construction consumes a big amount of materials while causing a lot of CO2 emissions. The selection and use of sustainable building materials play an important role to help reduce this carbon footprint. Life cycle analyses have been used in the building sector for more than 30 years and are an important tool for assessing environmental impacts.
